Design Inspiration

Many of you know my education background is in design. But due to-family, lifestyle, ecomomy etc I'm not working where I would love. Yet at the same time I feel I do need much practice. Thanks to the inspiration ofLittle Green Notebook, Katy gave me, I'm doing much the same-but of course with MY design eye, experience and opinions. . Please email with your design problems, questions- or just if you are bored with your home and need some ideas. Sometimes that is all you need- some new suggestions. Not that you have to use them- I would probably never know. Email me and we can start a new adventure.

I already have about 3 to work on- and they will be coming ASAP! I'll get to yours fast nonetheless! I'm so excited to do this.

Credentials you ask? I'm not just someone who may have a knack..I do have some background-educational and experience. Here is a breif Resume:

5-6 semesters at BYU studying Interior Design. Took classes from Landscape Design and Floral Design to History of Interior Design1/2 and all the ones inbetween. About textiles and tile, colors and principles. (they do not have a program, but you can receive it as a minor...so my offical degree is HFL with the minor in Interior Design)

Studied as a TA for History of Interior Design Professor
Studied as TA for Interior Design Professor : Karla J. Nielson
our big project was finishing a book she was publishing. I had many responsibilites! From requesting permission from companies to choosing and organizing proper photos of styles and periods. Here is the final book:
I've also done several weddings- about 10...
yadda yadda yadda, you get the picture!

Look at you go, girl! Awesome! And I love the name's play on your name. Too cute. Do you commute? I'm sure I could use help in Philly. Where were you when I was trying to get this house decorated? Oh yeah, Idaho. ;)

What?! Why didn't I use you when you were in ID? I am so jealous! I have NO talent in that area. NONE. So any help you would give me would be great. I have no idea how to use walls or what to put on them. Ugh, at Christmas you should come help me! Wait, are you even coming to Twin?

My goodness, you are one talented girl! We definitely could use your help one day. No worries about Nate coming over, I was at work the whole time and Ryan loves to socialize so the "play date" was perfect :)

Yes, well my name is Kelly Evers and I am interested in your services. I have these two unfinished night stands that I bought at Ikea. They have no stain or anything. Just wood. I think they are ready to be finished, but I dont know how to do this. Hence my problem. Do I buy spray paint, can it be any kind, do I need some kind of finish...etc? Well thank you for your help and i look forward to working with you :) You are fabulous and I love your work!

maybe you could do a post about playrooms/preschool rooms. We are redecorating my office and we split in half...half my work space/leasing center and then the other half is Carter's space. Right now the walls are bare...and we just have a few toys in there. I have been trying to think of a really good idea to make use of the walls...as being interactive in some way...I know I could put up a chalk board or white board...but I am looking for some really creative and fun ideas to keep Carter entertained for 2 1/2 hours. I also want it to be a learning space...maybe have some preschool elements to it.

I would also like some ideas for his room at home too.

Anyways...I can't wait to see more of your projects and what you come up with...you should post some pictures from the weddings you have done.
